Help Your Organization Raise Money with Doggy Cookbooks and Coordinating Squeaky Toys

Raise money for your pet organization and help your supporters make nutritious meals and healthy dog treats - at the same time.   When you make one of the family meals in Some For Me...One For You, pull out a cup or so of the ingredients to make healthy dog treats.   The cookbooks come with a squeaky fruit or vegetable toy (in keeping with the ‘healthy’ theme of the book), that can be decorated with permanent fabric markers by the children (or adults) of your pet rescue group. 

 Whenever families include pets in family exercise or even cooking projects, kids will get involved.  And what better way to help kids develop cooking skills than by making something easy for their dog.  I always say – my 3 hungry dogs enjoy bunny poop and toilet water, so homemade doggy biscuits have to taste good!

 Here are some ideas to raise money with Some For Me ... One For You

 ·         Sell Some For Me ... One For You at an event/craft show – have participants personalize the back of the plain squeaky vegetable toy with permanent fabric markers.  Not only is this an activity, but it’s a quick way to raise money while you are at a rescue event, craft show, pictures with Santa, or any other fundraiser you are holding.  Plus it’s an activity that is a hit with kids and definitely keeps them occupied!  Turn this into a doggy squeaky bone decorating contest!  

 ·         Take orders for the book and when they arrive, have a squeaky fruit or vegetable decorating party.  Have every attendee bake a different batch of dog treats.  Place in a plastic bag and sell as a fundraiser for $3.00/bag.

 ·         The book/toy set is $12.00 and suggested retail is $15.95 - so you make almost $4.00 - and you don’t have to collect recipes, test recipes, or pay large up-front printing fees.

·         If you don’t have the funds to purchase the books ahead of time, display the mailed sample and take orders with a check.  Attached is a marketing fold over that can be photocopied on hard stock paper and folded in half to display.  I can also email this fold over so you can make changes. Add an extra .75 per book to cover shipping. 

 ·         I can also add your pet rescue organization to the 3HungryDogs.com web site.  Your supporters can order the button through your organization’s button. Order with a button on the 3HungryDogs.com web site in your organizations name; if you have a donate button, you will receive the $3.00 immediately.
