Help Your Organization Raise Money with Doggy Cookbooks and Coordinating Squeaky Toys

Raise money for your pet organization and help your supporters make nutritious meals and healthy dog treats - at the same time.   When you make one of the family meals in Some For Me...One For You, pull out a cup or so of the ingredients to make healthy dog treats.   The cookbooks come with a squeaky fruit or vegetable toy (in keeping with the ‘healthy’ theme of the book), that can be decorated with permanent fabric markers by the children (or adults) of your pet rescue group. 

Whenever families include pets in family exercise or even cooking projects, kids will get involved.  And what better way to help kids develop cooking skills than by making something easy for their dog.  I always say – my 3 hungry dogs enjoy bunny poop and toilet water, so homemade doggy biscuits have to taste good!

 Here are some ideas to raise money with Some For Me ... One For You

• Sell Some For Me ... One For You at an event/craft show – have participants personalize the back of the plain squeaky vegetable toy with permanent fabric markers.  Not only is this an activity, but it’s a quick way to raise money while you are at a rescue event, craft show, pictures with Santa, or any other fundraiser you are holding.  Plus it’s an activity that is a hit with kids and definitely keeps them occupied! 
   

• Take orders for the book and when they arrive, have a squeaky fruit or vegetable decorating party.   If you don’t have the funds to purchase the books ahead of time, display a sample and take orders with a check.  Here is a marketing fold over that can be photocopied on hard stock paper and folded in half to display.  At the end of the party, ask each attendee select a dog treat recipe to bake at home. Place in a plastic bag or decorated container and sell as a fundraiser for $3.00/bag.  There are 4 fundraiser ideas in the book for even more fun!
   

• I can also add your pet rescue organization to the 3HungryDogs.com web site under ORDER.  Your supporters can order the book by clicking on  your organization's link. If your organization has a DONATE button to accept donations on your web site, you will receive $3.00 immediately after an order is placed.  You do need to have that button on your site.
   

• This is a great fundraiser if you don't anticipate selling more than 200 books.  You'll make the most amount of money with a ready made book. 
   

• Hopefully families will cook together, try nutritious recipes, and make healthy treats for their dogs - so everyone benefits!  The treats can be cut into small squares for training treats!
